July Muse + Giveaway: Barber Shop

It is July 1st and that means its time to flip the page of your 2010 Calendar and revel in the red, white and blue of our Barber Shop stripe. I am a patriot through and through, so make no mistake this is a nod to Old Glory and all that she represents.

We introduced this design to the Snow & Graham line in 2006 on our gone-but-not-forgotten #1621 Barber Shop wrapping paper. While this pattern is a departure from my signature Snow & Graham florals, it may be my favorite wapping paper we have ever made. It laid so beautifully on a package and paired nicely with many of the other designs in our line. Just look at how lovely the stripes look when paired with the florals up above.

I love stripes, dots, checks and chevrons – and when the scale is right on and the color mix just so – I am a happy camper. Mix these classics with florals and I am over the moon. We took this love of combined patterns and created our Coordinates line. Every box of coordinates comes with *4* each of  *2* coordinating patterns, offering you choice at whim and two patterns for the price of one!

JULY GIVEAWAY

What is your favorite classic pattern? Are you a sucker for pin stripes? Or are polka dots your darlings? Maybe you love a mix of patterns – gingham and Siwss dot, or perhaps stars and stripes? I love the criss cross orange card – but really like ‘leafy’ patterns – I’m a big fan of your eucalyptus line. Also very happy that you now have a webshop as you cannot buy your lovely cards where I live (Denmark).

My favourite classic pattern is pinstripes. I tend to like things that have high levels of contrast. Pinstripes give you the illusion that all is well and orderly in the world. However, in reality what is behind the pinstripes can be quite the opposite…..

Seeing as I’m staying in the USA at the moment and have experienced Independence Day here – the barber shop striped card is giving me another excuse to purchase Snow and Graham and write about what I’ve been up to back home in the UK. Have to say – I’m a fan of anything birdy and leafy too ;-)
