The seasons inspire me a great deal and I am lucky to live in the Midwest where seasons are kind of “our thing”. Fall is feeling particularly beautiful this year and the timing couldn’t be better as we settle into a new design cycle in the studio.
The color in the trees and foliage is tremendous right now. If you follow me on Instagram all my snaps of leaves and berries may be getting old, but is all too pretty not to share.
Getting started on a new series of designs is not always as easy as I would like it to be. Something inside just has to “click” before I can start something in earnest. To help stoke that creative spark I find myself stockpiling snapshots of color combinations and compositions I find in nature. Nature always does it best.
There are deadlines ahead and designs that will be revised and tweaked many times, all in an effort to find that perfect arrangement that feels natural, effortless and inspired.
