A few weeks ago I made a few hundred Chocolate Black Pepper Cookies for my sales reps. Each fall Snow & Graham releases Valentine and Spring Holiday designs for the coming year; you see, we are always celebrating a few seasons ahead. In the spirit of sending a sweet sentiment to my “Valentines”, I included the best chocolate recipe I have in my arsenal, in hopes of winning their hearts and fueling their enthusiasm.

As I have said before, I think sweets should be as much a visual treat as they are a tasty one, so we packaged the cookies with seasonal flair and a lot of love. I am sharing this with you here because I think this would be lovely as a party favor or wedding welcome gift–and it is easy enough to do en mass.

My Roses pattern was the natural choice for this occasion, but truly any one of our notePAD or wrapping paper designs would work beautifully. The pages of our notePADS measure 5 x 7 inches and run through an inkjet printer quite well, so I wrote a short note and the name of the cookies facing in opposite directions. This can be done easily using MS word by running the sheets through your printer twice, once in each direction. I folded these sheets in half and slipped them over the top edge of these patterned glassine bags which we tucked in cellophane sleeves to keep them fresh. The packs were then hole punched and clasped with a colorful brad.
