The week before last I made a quick trip to Boston. I hadn’t been there in years, but I can tell you I will not wait nearly so long to return. I am seriously crushing on Boston. Perhaps it helped that I was there to see a fun bunch of friends and that I ate incredibly (maybe embarrassingly) well. It was also quite nice to stay at the Ames hotel, pictured above. They pull off a very modern look with just enough soft and unexpected touches to keep it from feeling overly slick. I liked it.

The event that had me in Boston in the first place was hosted by Mohr and McPhearson. A big thank you to them as it was a great night in a pretty spectacular space with a pretty spectacular group of women. I found myself gravitating to all the friendly creatures they had tucked around the store, but the textiles and large scale chests were gorgeous and unfortunately (or fortunately) too heavy tote home.

I had such a good time visiting with Amy at Rugg Road. Her shop is so warm and chocked full of good stuff. Amy has carried Snow & Graham since the very beginning and we are so happy to have a home there.

Gracie Finn is a newer addition to our roster of retailers - and I am glad for it as this is a great great shop. I kicked off my Christmas shopping there with a few pieces from Donna Wilson’s felt collection and I found myself drooling over Gracie Finn‘s own line of letterpress goodness.
There is more to come of my Boston trip including a studio visit with The Jill Rosenwald as well as What I Ate….and I ate well!
